I was sitting in front of the computer when the text came from my husband, “what’s my Marriott Rewards number?” He’s one of those guys that can’t be bothered to carry a Safeway Club card and never remembers to actually redeem the coupons that I send with him to the grocery store. However, I am always interested in a discount or a hotel upgrade. I’m happy that Marriott offers a rewards program. I’m also happy that my husband managed to find an affordable hotel near the sporting event he was attending with our teenage son.
The waterpolo tournament would require an overnight stay in Rancho Cordova and the two men needed a clean, affordable place to bunk for the night. Enter Courtyard by Marriott Sacramento Rancho Cordova to the rescue. The property came through with two queen beds in a non-smoking room for $62. not including tax.
Room #271 at Courtyard Marriott Sacramento Rancho Cordova
Built in 1986 and renovated in 2006, the three story Courtyard Marriott offers 144 rooms. While the property has a swimming pool, spa and exercise gym, my husband and son simply used the Courtyard for a place to sleep at night. Room #271 fit the needs of these hotel guests. My husband noted the free internet access and that while located near the freeway, their room was quiet. While there was a restaurant on-site, the breakfast was not included and they decided to eat elsewhere.
